May Queen and Royal Party

The Fort Langley May Queen is a tradition over a hundred years old.

The May Queen and Royal Party are selected each year from delegates sent from Langley Schools.

They will attend a Royal-Party Tea where names will be drawn to select Miss. Canada, The May Queen, and her two maids of honour. The children not selected will be the princesses.

In the Fort Langley May Day Parade, the May queen, her maids of honour, and Miss. Canada will ride in special cars with their names on them. The princesses will ride in a special parade float. Then at the fair in the park the May Queen will give a speech, and the retiring May Queen will hand over her crown.
